This Privacy Policy describes Immersive Engineering policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of student information enrolled in our Courses at immerse2learn.com.

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions.

The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Data Controller , for the purposes of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), refers to the Company as the legal person which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of Personal Data.

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act)

Immersive Engineering will protect Your information as required by the FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and applicable state laws regarding the privacy of student records or PII (Personal Identifiable Information). We will only disclose education records or provide access to them in compliance with FERPA and applicable state laws, and we will require third parties that contract with us and have access to education records to do the same. Immersive Engineering will not use PII to target a student for advertising, sell PII or use PII to create profiles about a student (other than for purposes of the student’s education in a Local School) when those activities are prohibited by law. Immersive Engineering will not use, or will seek permission to use, Your PII for purposes unrelated to providing or improving their education where required by law to do so. If any provision of this Privacy Policy conflicts with FERPA or other federal or state law, Immersive Engineering will comply with the more protective standard for the education records.

Personal Data

While using Our Service, We may ask Students to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information that is reasonably necessary to use the online learning environment. Personally identifiable information includes:

· Instructor or Student Email address for password recovery

· First name and last name or other identifiable labels

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

Usage Data may include information such as Student Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that Students visit, the time and date of Student visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

When Students access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of Your mobile device, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

We may also collect information that Your browser sends whenever Students visit our Service or when Students access the Service by or through a mobile device.

We use Cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on Our Service and store certain information. Tracking technologies used are tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze Our Service.

Should instructors with children under the age of 13 wish to access our courses, we will work with instructors to obtain prior parental or guardian of child to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

The Company may collect and store the following types of personal information about a child when submitted by a child with prior parental consent or by the parent or guardian of the child:
